D -3
It's almost time to go on holidays and time to pick up a few books for some long and lazy afternoons.
I remembered about this one debating with Marina about the perfect holiday read.
We both have very different tastes in books and even if i appreciate an occasional classic, you'll see me more often reading "lighter" things (right now The girl who played with fire, at least i stopped with Dan Brown...).
This book was, to me, "The catcher in the rye" of the 90's, and i only knew one person who also read it.
I also remember my dad telling me that when Russell Banks came to Virgin to sign his book he requested Dookie as background music and i thought it was really cool for an author. ahahah!
I don't know if i'd enjoy it as much as i did back then, but it is definitely a milestone in my teenage years.
"Anyhow, my life got interesting you might say the summer I turned fourteen and was heavy into weed but I didn't have any money to buy it with so I started looking around the house all the time for things I could sell but there wasn't much."
Libellés :
Dookie,
Millenium,
Rule of the bone,
Russell Banks,
Stieg Larsson
