2002: Russian Ark
For some people, Alexander Sokurov's film will always be "that movie with the single 96-minute Steadicam sequence shot", beating Hitchcock and others to the no cut game.
It took 4 years to prepare the only day of shooting in St Petersburg's Hermitage Museum, cast the 2000 comedians and get everybody ready to do it right for the hour and half shot.
Impressive.
